Leigh completed his Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Science in Kinesiology at Lakehead University before earning his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario in 2021. After working in private practice in Thunder Bay, he returned home to Red Lake to lead physiotherapy services at the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital. Seeing the need for accessible private physiotherapy in the community, he founded Boreal Physiotherapy to bring personalized, evidence-based physiotherapy care back to Red Lake.
Leigh works with people of all ages and activity levels, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries, vestibular conditions, balance concerns, and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation. He believes the best outcomes come from listening to each patient’s goals, completing a thorough assessment, and creating an individualized treatment plan that combines education, exercise, hands-on therapy, and dry needling when appropriate. Outside the clinic, Leigh enjoys hiking, canoeing, fishing, foraging, wildlife photography, cooking, and travelling. He looks forward to helping you move better, recover with confidence, and get back to doing the activities you love.
